ASK A KING: ALEXANDER FROLOV
How excited are you to be going to the Olympics? Ashia from Aliso Viejo
I'm very excited because it will be my first time there. The Olympics is a huge tournament, probably biggest in the World. I'm going to have fun and try to win a gold medal.
What made your line with Conroy and Demitra so successful early on in the season? James. S. from Dublin, CA
I don't know. Probably because the American (Conroy), the Slovak (Demitra) and the Russian (Frolov) didn't understand each other.
Do you think the NHL is tougher than playing in Russia or vice versa? Dorian from Chatsworth, CA
The NHL is the best league in the World and it has the best players, so it's tougher.
What aspect of your game do you think has improved the most since you started playing for the Kings? Gabby from Sunland
I'm not sure. Everything about my game has gotten better, but I still have a lot to learn.
If you could pick your NHL "dream team" of guys to play with, which forwards would you choose beside yourself? Julie in Glendale, CA
The Slovak and the American.
Hey Alex, what was the biggest part of your game you had to change coming from the old NHL to the new NHL? Max from L.A.
My game is maybe a little bit different because of the rule changes. I've changed my tactics a little bit now that there isn't a red line in play and more hooking and slashing penalties are being called.
Is there a player on the Kings that acts as a role model to you, that you look up to? Christopher from Burbank, CA
Matty Norstrom. He's at his best every single day.
Do enjoy the shootouts as much as the fans do? Mike from Playa Del Rey
Yes, especially when I score.
Who is the toughest defenseman that you have played against this year? James from Dublin, CA
Is there any Russian player you grew up watching and model your game after? Kyle in San Diego
I haven't modeled my game after just one player. I like a lot of players, but I've never tried to be like anybody but myself.
