KINGS RECALL TAMBELLINI; PARROS PLACED ON IR
LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles Kings have recalled left wing Jeff Tambellini from the Manchester Monarchs of the American Hockey League and placed right wing George Parros on the injured reserve list (retroactive to November 18) with a right ankle sprain, Kings President, Hockey Operations/General Manager Dave Taylor announced today.

Tambellini, 21, was selected by the Kings in the first-round (27th overall) of the 2003 NHL Entry Draft. He led the Monarchs with 14 goals and 25 points (14-11=25) in 18 games this season, with the 14 goals tied for second in the AHL and his 25 points tied for sixth in the league. In addition, the 5-11, 186-pound native of Calgary, Alberta, has eight penalty minutes and a plus-11 rating. Tambellini, in his first pro season, will join the Kings in Chicago and wear jersey No. 51.

Parros, 25, was injured in a game against Vancouver on November 17. The 6-5, 232-pound rookie out of Washington, Pennsylvania, has missed the club's last five games with the injury. Parros has four points (1-3=4) and 47 penalty minutes in 20 games with the Kings this season.

The Kings (16-8-1, 33 points; first place in the Pacific Division) open a four-game road trip at the United Center versus Chicago tonight at 7:30 p.m. The contest will air on FSN West, on KSPN Radio 710 and along the Kings Radio Network.
