The 5-9, 205-pound Giuliano has not played in a regular season NHL game. He is a native of Nashua, New Hampshire, and was signed by the Kings as a free agent on August 12, 2005. He will wear No. 53 and will join the Kings today in Phoenix, where he is expected to make his Kings/NHL debut.
Robitaille, 39, missed last night's Kings-Dallas game due to the injury. In 11 games with the Kings this season, the 6-1, 215-pounder from Montreal has recorded seven points (4-3=7) and four penalty minutes while posting a plus-minus rating of plus-five to go along with one game-winning goal. In 1,377 career NHL games with the Kings, Detroit Red Wings, New York Rangers and Pittsburgh Penguins, Robitaille has 1,377 points (657-720=1,377) and 1,129 penalty minutes.
The Pacific Division-leading Kings (9-4-0, 18 points after last night's 6-3 win in Dallas) conclude their two-game road trip tonight in Phoenix at 5:30 p.m. (PT). The game will be broadcast on FSN West, KSPN Radio 710 and along the Kings Radio Network. The Kings then play a home game this Saturday against Nashville at STAPLES Center at 1 p.m.
