Doughty, the second overall pick in last summer’s draft, leads all rookies (and the Kings) with 23:48 average time-on-ice. He has played at least 20 minutes in 55 of 59 games this season (25-plus minutes in 27 games and a season-high 29:04 Nov. 22 vs. Colorado). Doughty has 18 points this season (4-14=18), second most among rookie blue-liners. He’s tied for first among rookies with 84 blocked shots. Quick, who has started 14 of the last 16 games, ranks third among rookie goaltenders with a 2.51 GAA, third with 13 wins and third with a .912 save percentage. In February Quick is 6-2-1 with a 2.47 goals-against average and .910 save percentage (23 GA-255 shots in 559:07).
DID YOU KNOW the Kings have twice this season had a player was named the top star, with Quick joining Dustin Brown, who was the No. 1 star for the week of Jan. 18-25, after recording 2-1=3 with a +4 rating and two game-winning goals in two games.
