Scheduled for Sunday, February 22 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the recently opened L.A. LIVE, Kings players, coaches and broadcasters will be on hand to receive a $1 “tip” for an autograph and/or a $2 “tip” for a photograph from their fans in the first-ever "carnival-style" event. All proceeds benefit the Kings Care Foundation, the club’s award-winning non-profit organization that provides educational and recreational opportunities for children throughout Greater Los Angeles.

Tip-A-King Presented By D.I.S.C. Sports & Spine Center in Marina del Rey is the single largest fundraiser for the Kings Care Foundation. Each year the entire Los Angeles Kings Hockey Club and their fans join together for this fun-filled celebration, which for more than 17 years has raised more than $2.5 million for local children’s charities.

The 300-person VIP Reception will begin at 11 a.m. at the Event Deck at L.A. LIVE. Those in attendance will enjoy Wolfgang Puck’s famous catering and bar service and have the opportunity to obtain player autographs and photographs prior to the General Admission portion of the event. Attendees of the VIP Reception will also have access to preview and bid on items featured at the silent auction that will feature Kings and NHL Memorabilia along with other sports, entertainment and travel packages. There are also a few other surprises in store, including a Vail Ski package donated by Anheuser-Busch which includes:

• Airfare and transfers to Vail
• 3 nights lodging
• Ski/snowboard rentals
• Lift tickets for each day
