7 Things To Watch For Tonight On Fox Sports West

Saturday, 12.28.2013 / 6:23 AM

KINGS (25-9-4) at PREDATORS (16-17-4)

5:00PM PT, TV: FOX SPORTS WEST; RADIO: AM 1150

THREE AND OUT: This is the third and final meeting with the Nashville Predators this season. The Kings won 2-1 in a SO in Nashville on October 17, and the Predators snagged a win in Los Angeles on November 2. Each team has won in the opposition’s building this year; can the Kings keep that trend true tonight in Nashville at Bridgestone Arena?

SLAVA-RAMA: In the Kings’ lone visit to Bridgestone Arena this season on October 17, Slava Voynov buried the Kings’ only goal of the contest in regulation time – receiving a gorgeous pass from Mike Richards and beating Pekka Rinne high and tight to the right corner. Anze Kopitar clinched the win for the Kings that night with a tally in the final round of the shootout – one of his four game-deciding shootout goals this season.

VOYNOV’S CORNER

KOPITAR’S PREY: In the Kings’ previous date with the Predators on November 2 at STAPLES Center, Anze Kopitar posted two points (1G, 1A) in their 4-3 loss. Kopitar has just two points (2A) in the Kings’ previous five games. Can he find his offensive touch again tonight against the Predators?

ANZE’S ATTACK

ON THE ROAD AGAIN: The Kings return from the holiday break to embark on another four-game road-trip where they’ll travel to Nashville, Chicago, Dallas, and St. Louis. The Kings went 3-1 on their previous four-game swing away from Los Angeles, and have won six of their past eight contests overall. Can the Kings continue their road success in their final trip of the season to Nashville tonight?

LEWIS IN THE NEWS: Trevor Lewis finally got on the score sheet in the Kings’ previous game Monday night against the Dallas Stars, assisting on Jarret Stoll’s goal. Lewis, in 29 games this season, has one assist to his name. Can Lewis return from the holiday break and record a point in his second consecutive game?

WE’RE DOING IT LIVE: Catch KINGS LIVE at 4:30PM on FOX SPORTS WEST, followed with Bob and Jim on the live play-by-play call from Bridgestone Arena for puck-drop at 5:00.
