The Los Angeles Kings will be presenting Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southern California with a $1 million donation during a check presentation Saturday following the Kings-Ducks outdoor game at Dodger Stadium.

The $1 million commitment will benefit Camp Ronald McDonald for Good Times, a campsite located in the San Jacinto Mountains. The donation will specifically go to help with the construction of the camp’s Dining Hall/Activity Center, which will enable the facility to expand its oncology camp programs for children with cancer and their families.

Camp Ronald McDonald for Good Times, which serves 1,500 campers each year, is a program of the Ronald McDonald Charities of Southern California (RMHCSC). For 30 years RMHCSC has provided medically supervised, cost-free camp programs for children with cancer and their families. Cancer is an illness that not only impacts the diagnosed child, but the entire family. From parents who are in need of moral support to siblings who often feel isolated and alone, Camp Ronald McDonald for Good Times is designed to address the needs of the entire family.
