Practice Report: LA Kings vs Vancouver Canucks

Monday, 11.25.2013 / 4:00 PM LA

The Kings are in Vancouver to take on everybody's favorite, the Vancouver Canucks. The Canucks are trying to salvage their 6 game home stand, in which they have gone 1-3-2; and even worse they are 2-4-3 in their last 8.

LA Kings Insider John Rosen was at the Kings morning skate at Rogers Arena and watched Jeff Carter take line rushes alongside Dwight Kings and Mike Richards.

"That Carter participated alongside a pair of familiar linemates is an indication, not a confirmation, that he will likely be taken off injured reserve prior to tonight’s game against the Vancouver Canucks. To clear a roster spot for him, the team could put Matt Frattin on injured reserve. I have also been told that placing Jonathan Quick on long term injured reserve “is an option,” though that was before Frattin succumbed to a lower-body injury in the New Jersey game on Thursday."

The Kings have 14 forwards up in Vancouver, and if this mornings line rushes are any indication the top 9 are at least set.

Carter will be activated prior to tonight's game. 13 forwards will take part in warmups; he'll be a game time decision.

Re: Carter, if he's taking line rushes, he's probably playing. He's also still on IR and "day-to-day," per Sutter, so it's not definite.
